Christmas

As Christmas approaches it's easy to get so concerned with presents, parties, decorations, and traditions.  We often forget this is a time to focus on God's gift to us. I encourage you to take time in prayer and meditation on God's word with a thankful heart remembering that Jesus came to teach us. He also came to give us forgiveness, salvation, and make a way for us to have a personal relationship with Him through the Holy Spirit. I am in awe that the Creator would come down as a babe to later lay down His life to rise again in three days.  There is no greater love. Let us celebrate this gift year round and not lose it during this Christmas season.

Hello,
     My Name Is Mike Bellamy I am the Pastor of Sojourn Church in Asheville formally know as eXodus. I married my lovely wife earlier this year (4/14/2014). I am blessed to have her by my side in Ministry. Her name is Caroline and she is my best friend.
     We are embracing a new idenity as we presue God's mission. I strongly believe the mission of Jesus is to Love God, Love People (Matthew 22:37-40), and Make Disciples (Matthew 28:18-20).
     We Love God through Prayer, Worship, Sharing Him with others through our actions and words.
     We Love People, through fellowship, and taking care of our neighbors, and sharing our Lord and Savior with them.
     We make Disciples by building relationships and sharing a biblical world perspective. I believe we disciple people to Jesus. We also walk out our lives as disciples of Christ always continuing to grow as we follow Him. We help each other grow in the Lord as well (as iron sharpens iron- Proverbs 27:17).
     I look forward to journeying through life with God and the people of Asheville.
